Konica Minolta to cease all photo and camera business.

Apparently Sony is acquiring the Minolta mount and patents, and will continue to offer cameras using the Minolta lens mounting system. But otherwise, Minolta is dead, effective this March.

Following Nikon's withdrawal from the majority of the film sector, this is the second major shoe to drop in the photography business. It appears there is some major revenue-based settling taking place in the industry.
